The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It offers impressive cleaning power and numerous features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better with the next models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration, which prevents tiny particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to avoid obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
