The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It's a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive counterpart.
During testing it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, as cheaper models do to identify your home.
1. IRobot Roomba S9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules that will give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough mappings of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It can take in large objects and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as some others do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not able to work with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot promises that the next models will be more efficient.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which focuses on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which it hopes will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with a superior filtration system that blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so that it is aware of areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping and mopping, the Roborock Q revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are as effective as those of higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
It's only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, it's not a problem when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.
In terms of the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered ones, create low noise, which means you can work or watch television without getting distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls and then move away whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is good at nagging you only when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's clutter that needs to be cleared out regularly, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, picking up debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you can wish for. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction to clean hard and carpet floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a new sensor system that can better detects obstacles, granting it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement to the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. While still quite massive--it's nearly two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a set path.
The X2 Omni is the best robot at mopping. Its rotating mop pads scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding as well and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as anything we've seen in a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a host of features that you do not often find on robots in this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize various flooring types and is one of the few to automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are great, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category, which might make it slightly more expensive than the average homeowner need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can alter the way that the L10s Ultra works with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hardwood floor test and getting rid of all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops are also efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of the debris that was found click here on our wood, tile and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
